Salad with a twist.

Hello fitfams! As a food blogger I make both way my take is if truly we want to eat healthy then let's make it complete by not adding "processed" food. Salad should be healthy isn't it?  And this was made with a twist.
In the recipe below I gave adequate details concerning each ingredients used.
By the way,   it's very simple, it as well had various elements like sweet, savoury, crunch and it was filling as well.
INGREDIENTS:
Cabbage ( shredded and blanched )
Carrot (shredded )
Cowpea (picked and boiled)
Tomatoes (washed and diced)
Onions (sliced and soaked in warm water)
Green bell pepper (washed and sliced/diced)
Dates (washed, boiled and diced)
PROCEDURES:
Step 1: prepare your vegetables: wash and shred cabbage and blanch in warm water for few minutes set aside.
Step 2: pick and boil cowpea till it's soft and not mashed.
Step 3: wash and cut up other vegetables like: carrot, tomatoes, green bell pepper and soak onions in warm water.
Step 4: wash dates, boil for 5— 10 minutes and then dice.
Step 5: combine all the ingredients and serve with any dressing of your choice. Enjoy!
NOTE:
 I usually blanch my cabbage to get rid of insects and germs that might contaminate the dish.
 Soaking the onions in warm water and adding a little vinegar will reduce the odour but this could be skipped.
 Boiling the dates will make it easy to cut, cause you obeserve that dates are very strong and it will be hard putting a knife through but when boiled it softenes.
